Additive Synthesis Selfies

An 18+ PDF-based grame developed in collaboration with Peter Nuss

My friend Peter has always wanted to be a nude model. But it never really panned out for him. So he takes a lot of selfies.

I had told him I make video games. In early 2018, after some trips to the casino, he commissioned me to use his selfies in a video game.

However, Peter was not impressed by the game feel or shaders I had worked hard on for him. After some additional discussion we were able to develop a compromise.

It was decided that I would use a very special digital art technique--additive synthesis--to immerse Peter's selfies in fresh, exciting layers before inserting them in the game. 

Peter was very pleased with the results of the synthesis and development of the game's second prototype was completed. However, Peter quit his job at a software development startup in August and could no longer afford my services.

In early November, a penniless Peter asked if I could produce a soundtrack and release the game as a collaboration, splitting the proceeds evenly. I agreed and quickly banged away on my MIDI keyboard.
